The latest player on Sunderland’s radar as the transfer deadline approaches is Liverpool wonderkid Jayden Danns.
The Black Cats have wanted to add an attacking option to the squad all window and that has now become a necessity after the exits of Nazariy Rusyn and Aaron Connolly.
Danns is unproven in the Championship but Liverpool are certainly excited about his future, so it could be an important short-term acquisition as the Wearside club aims for promotion.
With a potential move to the Stadium of Light on the horizon, Sunderland AFC News tells you everything you need to know about him below.

Jayden Danns age, height and more personal details
Jayden Alexander Danns was born in Liverpool, England on 16 January 2006. He is the son of former Crystal Palace and Bolton Wanderers midfielder Neil Danns.
Danns joined Liverpool FC in 2014, at just eight years of age. He is six feet, one inch tall (1.85 metres) and weighs 73 kilograms (161 pounds).
You can find Danns on Instagram under the handle @jayden.danns. He has over 375,000 followers.

How good is Jayden Danns and which position does he play?
Jayden Danns is one of Liverpool’s most highly-rated prospects. He excelled for the Reds’ under-18 and under-21 sides last season and made his first-team debut in the Premier League against Luton in February 2024.
He even played 33 minutes as an injury-stricken Liverpool beat Chelsea in the EFL Cup final later that month and thoroughly deserved to be part of Arne Slot’s first-team squad for the 2024/25 campaign.
But minutes have been hard to come by for the 19-year-old, besides the Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven this week, and it’s time he played regularly on loan elsewhere.
The Championship is probably the right place for the striker, as the Premier League would be too much to ask of him at this stage in his career.
He would offer strong competition to Wilson Isidor as part of Regis Le Bris’ promotion-chasing squad, or even an interesting strike partner option.

Jayden Danns to Sunderland transfer news
Jayden Danns emerged as one of Sunderland’s transfer targets on Sunday morning, less than 48 hours before the deadline slams shut.
It then became apparent that Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers are also in the race to sign Danns, and they are confident of beating the Black Cats.
Liverpool youngsters Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton both previously enjoyed loan spells at Ewood Park, which proves their suitability as Dann’s next destination.
But Sunderland are up there with the very best clubs in England for developing young talent, with in-form Manchester United winger Amad Diallo the prime example.
It will probably come down to which team Danns prefers to spend the next five months at – a decision which could be the difference between Premier League football or not for Le Bris’ men.
