Sunderland’s deadline day has burst into life with the news that Jayden Danns is expected to arrive on loan from Liverpool.
Kristjaan Speakman has pulled off another exciting deadline day signing at Sunderland amid reports that Jayden Danns is joining on loan from Liverpool for the rest of the season.
The latest is that Danns is heading to Sunderland to undergo his medical tests, with the 19-year-old potentially attending Sunderland’s game against Middlesbrough on Monday evening.
But Danns might not be the only striker arriving at the Stadium of Light on deadline day.

Details over possible Sunderland move for Pape Cherif Ndiaye
Going into deadline day, it was revealed that Sunderland are interested in Pape Cherif Ndiaye at Red Star Belgrade. Now, there’s more news on the 29-year-old who has 15 goals in the Serbian SuperLiga and the Champions League combined this season.
Serbian outlet Sportklub report that Sunderland have the ‘most concrete’ interest in Ndiaye right now. Belgrade would prefer a permanent sale of the twice-capped Senegalese international but a loan deal is also an option.
Sunderland actually tried to sign Ndiaye on deadline day of the last summer transfer window too.
Sunderland’s deadline day plan revealed
Whilst a striker signing seems like the priority for Sunderland, maybe even a couple of striker signings, the situation regarding Tommy Watson has become pressing.
Brighton are trying to sign Watson and it’s since been revealed by Keith Downie that Sunderland want to sign a left winger, no doubt to replace Watson for the remainder of the season.
So whilst the end of the January transfer window could prove very exciting for Sunderland, it could also prove treacherous with a lot of rumours going around, but still no official signings.
