Transfer deadline day has been far busier than expected for Sunderland, and it seems yet another player could be on his way out of the club.
Sunderland have made shrewd moves in the transfer market over the last month, bringing in Enzo Le Fee on loan, signing Wilson Isidor permanently, and seemingly getting a loan deal for Jayden Danns arranged, too.
However, among all the potential Sunderland deals we’re keeping an eye on throughout deadline day, other moves are going under the radar, with yet another exit on the cards.
Thankfully, it’s a player Regis Le Bris clearly has no plans to use this season, and could be a key switch to get his career back on track.

Jewison Bennette heading for League One loan after Regis Le Bris exile
According to Roker Report on Twitter/X, we can expect Jewison Bennette to depart the club before the transfer deadline passes.
When asked for an update on the winger, Roker Report said: “Yes – could be off on loan to a club in League One.”
At this stage it is not known which club (or clubs) is involved in a potential deal for the Sunderland man, but it would certainly make sense for Bennette to move on.
So far this season, the 24-year-old has played just nine minutes in the Carabao Cup defeat to Preston North End. It has been thought for a while that Bennette would look to leave in January.

Loan move crucial for Jewison Bennette to get his career on track
Ever since Bennette changed his agent back in December, it was clear that a move was in the offing, and if he can find the right club in League One, he could have a really positive second half of the campaign.
The truth is, though, this move has to be a chance for Bennette to earn himself a permanent move away from Wearside, as he simply does not have a future at Sunderland.
With just 21 appearances to his name since joining the club back in 2022, it’s clear that Bennette has failed at Sunderland.
Now, Regis Le Bris has far better options in the Sunderland squad and it would take a miracle for Bennette to force his way back into consideration now. Hopefully, this move materialises, he’s a success wherever he goes, and he finds a new club in the summer who will give him regular minutes.
