Sunderland now know their next attacking option to target after making progress with the signing of Jayden Danns.
After difficulties throughout the January transfer window, it now looks set that Sunderland will make an attacking signing, with Liverpool gem Jayden Danns set to join Sunderland.
The Black Cats have been linked with several names this January, with Kristjaan Speakman showing plenty of ambition with the names that have been linked, however there has been little success in getting them through the doors of the Stadium of Light, up until now.
Following the progress made in signing Danns, Sunderland must now turn their attention towards their next target, one which would massively bolster the attacking depth and quality in the side.

Sunderland must now prioritise Cameron Archer deal after Jayden Danns progress
The Black Cats have been linked with a move for Southampton striker Cameron Archer, who is also wanted by fellow Championship side Leeds United.
Sunderland are still well within the hunt of extra attackers, and Southampton are happy to let the striker leave in a loan-to-buy deal.
Archer has been utilised on 21 occasions in the 2024/25 Premier League season for the Saints, only finding the back of the net twice for the out-of-form side.

Cameron Archer will add guaranteed goals to Regis Le Bris’ side
Sunderland boss Le Bris will certainly be hoping that Speakman can strike a deal for Archer in order to boost attacking options, but the Southampton striker would do so much more than that.
Archer’s record in the Championship is without a doubt prolific, having notched 18 goals in 40 appearances across two spells at Preston North End and Middlesbrough, and whilst he has been out-of-form in the Premier League, a return to the second-tier would certainly help him rediscover his goalscoring touch.
It is clear that Speakman is backing Le Bris for a promotion push, and it would be made very much possible if Danns and Archer are added to his attacking options.
