We are now past the halfway stage of the January transfer window, but Sunderland do not appear to be done with their business just yet.
Sunderland made an amazing start to the window by signing Enzo Le Fee, with the French midfielder already looking a cut above the rest in the Championship.
It would seem the next transfer priority for Sunderland is to sign a new striker, with various names linked with a move to Wearside.
So, are the Black Cats making any progress? Sunderland AFC News has assembled all the latest reports on two attacking targets, plus fresh transfer news involving Wilson Isidor.

Sunderland are close to agreeing loan deal for Matija Frigan
The most exciting links surrounding Sunderland right now are all focused on Croatian striker Matija Frigan, who currently plays for KVC Westerlo in Belgium.
Sunderland showed an interest in Frigan last week, and also in the summer of 2023 before he moved to Westerlo, and now the Black Cats are back.
It is thought Sunderland have tabled a loan-to-buy offer for Frigan which could be worth up to €15m (£12.66m), with an obligation clause if Le Bris is successful in winning promotion this season.
The only snag is that Westerlo are more keen to get a permanent transfer arranged now, even if it means less money coming their way. Either way, it seems Frigan is in line to be the next confirmed Sunderland transfer this month.
Sheffield United look likely to win Tom Cannon race
Last week, all the talk was about Tom Cannon’s potential move to Sunderland, but the Black Cats appear to have lost that race to Sheffield United now.
Apparently, both Sunderland and the Blades had offers accepted for Cannon, but the Yorkshire club can offer a higher salary and are open to signing the striker immediately rather than on loan.
It would seem Sheffield United are the favourites to sign Cannon now, which could explain the fact the rumours around Frigan have intensified.

Sunderland want to sign Wilson Isidor permanently
Friday night was one to forget for Wilson Isidor, with the striker missing two penalties in the 0-0 draw against Burnley. In the wake of the match, Isidor described the situation as the worst day of his life, but Sunderland fans are still behind the Frenchman.
It seems the club backs him, too, as it is now thought Sunderland are ready to sign Isidor permanently as soon as possible.
However, it is not known what purchase clauses Sunderland have as part of Isidor’s loan deal, and how easy a deal may be to strike with his parent club, Zenit St. Petersburg.
Still, the eight-goal forward has impressed on loan this season, and any move for him is not expected to impact the club’s search for another striker.
