Sunderland will be looking to end a winless run of three games on Saturday against Norwich in the Championship.

The Black Cats were on an incredible run which saw them reach the heights of third, prior to their losing streak.

Praised for their style of play Sunderland have gained a lot of fans this season already.

This due to having the youngest team in the Championship which makes them really exciting to watch.

Sunderland however need to win on Saturday, so here are three changes we think Tony Mowbray needs to make in order to do so…

Chris Rigg deserves to start

Mowbray is a fan of Chris Rigg, which makes the 16-year-old’s involvement not that out of the question.

Rigg isn’t just any 16-year-old and has been linked with a move away from the Stadium of Light as clubs like Manchester United linked in the summer.

Something needs to change in this team to get back in the win column, and at home to Norwich could be a great chance to give him the chance.

Mason Burstow should be dropped

Another issue which has plagued Sunderland recently as Mason Burstow remains goalless for the Black Cats.

Taking Burstow out of the team would then see Ukranian Nazariy Rusyn start instead in the hopes of getting the goals flowing.

If he can manage to grab a goal or even just impact the game, he probably earns himself a start in the subsequent game too.

Dennis Cirkin back in the team

Dennis Cirkin has been out injured since September with a hamstring injury.

Cirkin returned to the bench against Leicester on Tuesday in the 1-0 defeat.

Therefore, it could be expected that he ends up starting on Saturday with Niall Huggins the casualty, as it is a clear upgrade.
