Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor may be hoping to make his full league debut vs Middlesbrough this weekend.
Sunderland signed Wilson Isidor on loan from Zenit during the summer transfer window.
The Frenchman was the first of two strikers to arrive on Wearside during the summer, with Kristjaan Speakman having desperately needed to sign a striker in the window.
Despite the two arriving having no prior Championship experience – Isidor and Ahmed Abdullahi – they seem like exciting captures for Regis Le Bris’ side nonetheless.
Fans have had a couple of glimpses of Isidor who’s come off the bench in the last two Championship games.
He’s yet to make his first league start for the club, though he may well come into the XI for youngster Eliezer Mayenda this weekend, with the Boro clash set to be an intense one.
Michael Carrick’s side sit in 10th place of the Championship table and like Sunderland have lost just one league game so far this season.

Wilson Isidor message to Sunderland fans, number of tickets sold for Middlesbrough game
During the week, Sunderland’s nine summer signings held a Q&A with fans.
It was a nice evening for those in attendance, with fans getting their chance to ask Isidor and others their thoughts on various things.
On Thursday night, Isidor sent a message to Sunderland fans following the Q&A, saying how it was nice to meet them all and how he’s looking forward to the Boro game at the Stadium of Light.
Also on Thursday evening, the club revealed that more than 42,000 tickets have been sold for the Middlesbrough game, which will make it Sunderland’s highest attendance at the Stadium of Light so far this season.

Wilson Isidor can become Sunderland cult hero with Middlesbrough performance
Isidor already seem like a very well-liked player among Sunderland fans.
He’s arrived to bolster the club’s striking department which was in desperate need of bodies, and he’s the most experienced in that department, so there’s pressure on his shoulders to deliver.
But Isidor’s humorous demeanour and likeable traits has seen him become an instant hit with fans; at least in terms of off the pitch, with his abilities on it still largely unproven.
But whether he starts or comes off the bench vs Middlesbrough, he and indeed his newer teammates have the chance to become cult heroes with a strong performance, and maybe even a goal vs Middlesbrough this weekend.
