Sunderland attacker Wilson Isidor has penned a message to the fans after they lost a two-goal lead vs Coventry City.
The Black Cats put in a disappointing second half showing at home against Coventry City, where they let go of a 2-0 lead to come away with just a point against the managerless side at the Stadium of Light.
There were some brilliant performances, particularly on the attacking front, including from Romaine Mundle, who notched two assists in his showing before he was unfortunately brought off injured in the 76th minute.
Dennis Cirkin bagged a corker from 30-yards-out, and Wilson Isidor also added to his ever-growing goal tally. Whilst the Frenchman scored a lovely goal to fire his side into the lead against Coventry, he couldn’t quite replicate that brilliance in the second half, and he has since taken to Instagram to send a message to the Sunderland fans in Wearside.

Wilson Isidor pens message after Sunderland draw with Coventry City
Isidor has previously been one of the Sunderland players to hold their hands up after a poor showing, and this was once again the case against Coventry City.
After the game, Isidor took to Instagram, where he posted a message to Sunderland fans that read: “End of a difficult week for us, far from our ambitions. But we’ll work hard to be back stronger.”
The Sunderland star was one of many players who didn’t quite live up to expectations in the latter half, and ultimately it was another case of Regis Le Bris’ side not being able to hold onto a lead.

Sunderland attacking showing in second half shows clear need for improvement
They were without a doubt hindered by the injury sustained by Mundle with 15 minutes of action left to play, and Aaron Connolly coming on did not do much in his place.
Despite that, the entire second half was far from a pleasant viewing for Sunderland fans, who saw their side notch just one shot on target, and three shots overall, which is half of the tally that Coventry City tallied on their travels, per SofaScore.
Two of Sunderland’s shots were also outside of the box by Mundle and Patrick Roberts, and they only accumulated a total of 0.08xG between the two.
There was such a stark contrast between the two halves for Le Bris’ side, and the attacking stats without a doubt show that it is a clear cause for concern for Sunderland.
