Sunderland conceded two second-half goals on Saturday, drawing 2-2 with managerless Coventry City in the Championship.
The Stadium of Light was rocking as first-half goals from Wilson Isidor and Dennis Cirkin looked to set Regis Le Bris’ side up for a comfortable victory.
However, strikes from Haji Wright and Jack Rudoni for the visitors saw the Black Cats succumb to a third consecutive draw.
The Sunderland players were upset with their performance against Preston during the week, giving fans hope of a positive reaction against Coventry that failed to materialise.
There was a brief moment for Sunderland fans to enjoy, though, as many took to social media to react to Frenchman Isidor’s fabulous first-half strike that gave their side the lead.

Black Cats fans were quick to take to social media platform X, formally known as Twitter, to point out that Isidor isn’t one for the simple goals in his time at Sunderland so far.
One fan wrote: “Wilson doesn’t score tap-ins”, while another added: “This lad doesn’t score easy goals, does he?”.
Sunderland fans continued to be amazed by the strike, with one saying: “Is Isidor going for a goal of the season nominee list by himself?”, with another adding: “What a finish by big Wilson Isidor by the way.”
Another fan made it clear that they want to see more of the Frenchman in red and white, saying: “Pay the [transfer] fee now, another worldie from Isidor!”, whilst another Sunderland fan simply added: “Isidor just scores bangers.”

Isidor’s stunner against Coventry is the latest in an ever-growing catalogue of show-stopping goals for the Frenchman this season.
Isidor was a long-term transfer target for Le Bris this summer and showed just why with his remarkable solo strike against Hull City in October.
The striker then added to this with an incredible volley against Oxford United at the Stadium of Light, before his deft strike against Coventry City.
His five goals so far this season leave him at the top of Sunderland’s goalscoring charts, he will be hoping to continue to repay the faith of the Sunderland manager and add more goals to help in the Black Cats’ charge for promotion to the Premier League.
