David Prutton has shared his score prediction for the Championship clash between Hull City and Sunderland this weekend.
Sunderland play in their only Sunday game of this weekend’s round of Championship fixtures, travelling to the MKM Stadium to face Hull City.
Sheffield United and Leeds United got action back underway on Friday night, with Leeds claiming an impressive 2-0 win at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke’s side are now on level points with the Black Cats who remain in 1st place of the Championship table, following their 2-2 draw with Leeds United before the break.
Tim Walter’s Hull meanwhile are in 13th. They’ve won three of their last four and could deploy former Sunderland flop Mason Burstow this weekend, as well as Sunderland summer target Liam Millar.

David Prutton shares Hull City vs Sunderland score prediction
Speaking on the Sky Sports Championship Predictions podcast ahead of the weekend, pundit David Prutton gave his prediction for what should be a tight game between Hull City and Sunderland.
Prutton said: “Finding it hard to get something between these two, so I’m going to go 1-1.”
Interestingly, Prutton’s prediction differs to EFL pundit Sam Parkin’s.
Sam Parkin’s Hull City vs Sunderland score prediction
Speaking earlier this week, EFL pundit Parkin gave his prediction for Hull City vs Sunderland.
He said: “I just can’t, at the moment, back against Sunderland and go for Hull, given what I saw last time out.
“I think that could flip as the season goes on and they [Hull] get a better balance between defence and attack.
“But at the moment, I’m more than happy with a 3-1 away win.”
Three key things to watch out for in Hull City vs Sunderland

Aaron Connolly’s Sunderland debut
There’s a lot of eyes on new boy Aaron Connolly, who could make his Sunderland debut against Hull City this weekend.
Regis Le Bris has cleared Connolly to be involved against Hull, after the striker’s impressive run outs with the U21s.
How Sunderland deal with Hull City style
Walter and Hull City have quickly become known for their daring brand of football, dubbed ‘heart attack football’.
It’s allowed the Tigers to claim some emphatic wins already this season. But last time out, it didn’t work, losing 4-0 at Norwich City.
Can Sunderland handle the pressure of playing last
Many outsiders might expect Sunderland, given their overall inexperience, to drop off eventually, and perhaps struggle under the pressure of the Championship.
Playing last this weekend and possibly not going into this Hull game in 1st will be a new challenge for the Black Cats’ young stars.
But coming through this next test will give them huge amounts of confidence.
