Sunderland take on Hull City in the Championship on Sunday, as the Black Cats look to maintain their top spot.
Regis Le Bris and his players will have to watch on on Friday and Saturday as the rest of the Championship return to action.
Sunderland are the only team playing on Sunday before the next round of fixtures gets underway on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the Black Cats heading down to Luton Town on the Wednesday.
It’ll be a busy couple of days for Sunderland. And Hull City will be a stern test for Le Bris’ side with the Tigers having improved in recent weeks.
After going five league games without a win under new boss Tim Walter, Hull City have now won three of their last four in the Championship.
Last time out, though, Hull were thumped 4-0 at Norwich City, whilst Sunderland drew 2-2 with Leeds United at the Stadium of Light.

Sam Parkin shares Hull City vs Sunderland score prediction
Speaking on the Championship Check-In podcast, EFL pundit Sam Parkin shared his score prediction for Hull City and Sunderland this weekend.
He said: “I just can’t, at the moment, back against Sunderland and go for Hull, given what I saw last time out.
“I think that could flip as the season goes on and they [Hull] get a better balance between defence and attack.
“But at the moment, I’m more than happy with a 3-1 away win.”
Hull City vs Sunderland H2H and results last season
Last season, Sunderland and Hull City both got a win over each other, both by one-goal scorelines and both at the other team’s stadium.
Sunderland won 1-0 at the MKM Stadium on Boxing Day whilst the Tigers won 1-0 on Wearside soon after in the January.
The season before, Sunderland and Hull memorably drew 4-4 at the Stadium of Light after drawing 1-1 at Hull earlier in the 2022/23 campaign.
In fact, Sunderland have a decent record playing at Hull City, having not lost in their last six trips to the Humber, winning two and drawing the other four.
Since 2010, Hull City have beaten Sunderland twice at home, five times in total, with the two sides having played each other 19 times, drawing eight.

Could Aaron Connolly make his Sunderland debut vs Hull City?
Sunderland signed former Hull City man Aaron Connolly as a free agent last month, after he was released by the Tigers at the end of last season.
He’s scored a handful of goals for the U21s since, with Le Bris saying that Connolly could make his Sunderland debut after the October international break.
Journalist Michael Graham has backed Connolly to score against Hull City this weekend.
