Sunderland are considering a move for Noam Emeran.
The Black Cats could add another Manchester United attacker to their ranks this summer after Amad Diallo’s successful loan spell last season, according to Foot Mercato’s Sebastien Denis.
Emeran spent two years with French club Amien’s academy before he began to attract interest from the likes of Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain. However, he went onto join Manchester United in 2019.
The forward has since made his way up through their youth ranks and netted five goals in 15 appearances for the U-21 side last season.

His brilliant form saw him handed a chance in the first team’s pre-season schedule this summer and he bagged his first senior goal and assist as the Red Devils beat Leeds United earlier this month.
Emeran – previously compared to Marcus Rashford – could replace Amad at the Stadium of Light. The Ivorian scored 14 goals in the Championship last summer before returning to Old Trafford this summer.
Sunderland could face competition from Rotherham United for his signature, though the Wearside outfit are surely in pole position given their relationship with Erik ten Hag’s side last season.
The Black Cats are yet to make a proposal to the Premier League club, though Eliezer Mayenda’s recent injury may escalate interest.
Can Noam Emeran fill Amad Diallo’s boots at Sunderland?
Amad Diallo will never be forgotten for his unbelievable campaign on Wearside, quickly becoming one of Sunderland’s best ever loan players.
I think it’s fair to say if Sunderland fans could sign one player this summer it would be to bring Amad back to the club, however that now looks very unlikely. Instead, they could turn their attention to his Manchester United teammate.

Noah Emeran is yet to make his competitive debut, already making him significantly less experienced than Amad.
However, he is very highly rated in Manchester and was certainly the star of the show as they faced Leeds United. The Manchester Evening News believe that the Frenchman may have given Erik Ten Hag something to consider this summer, though he could also massively benefit from a loan move.
The Black Cats are the very best at developing young players and the potential arrival of Emeran could be another one to get excited about.
