One Sunderland youngster is reportedly attracting interest from Premier League giants Man City.
Sunderland’s transfer window, although only five days in, has seen plenty of action in regards to top sides showing interest in the Black Cats’ top performers.
The Black Cats already look to have shown progress in keeping Anthony Patterson at the club as Tottenham Hotspur, who were showing interest in the shot-stopper, have opted with an alternative option by looking to sign Slavia Prague goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.
However, Sunderland look set to receive a bombardment of interest for one unlikely prospect, one who is currently plying his trade on loan at a high-flying League Two side.

Man City keeping tabs on Sunderland shot-stopper Matty Young
Sunderland’s goalkeeper union at this moment is certainly full of quality, from Patterson in the first-team, to the back up options of Simon Moore and Blondy Nna Noukeu.
However, currently away from the club is one of Sunderland’s finest prospects, and that is shot-stopper Matty Young, who is currently on loan at League Two outfit Salford City.
It was a slow start to life at the side based in Greater Manchester, but recent performances have reportedly piqued the interest of Premier League side Manchester City, who are keen on the goalkeeper, per Alan Nixon.
Man City have reportedly been keeping tabs on the goalkeeper whilst he has been on loan at Salford City, and they will certainly have been excited by his recent performances in-between the sticks for Karl Robinson’s side.

Kristjaan Speakman must fend off all interest for Matty Young for one obvious reason
At the moment, it looks as though Patterson will not be leaving the club in January, but it is highly likely that the coming years could potentially see him move on, if Sunderland are unable to get themselves into the Premier League.
As a result of Patterson’s unclear future, it is massively important that Kristjaan Speakman looks to keep ahold of ‘top prospect’ Young, who has spectacularly kept seven clean sheets in his eight games for Salford City, and is showing clear signs of development.
As an 18-year-old, it is unlikely that Sunderland will receive a high fee for Young, and considering his potential of becoming a top goalkeeper in two-or-three years, and the fact that he is likely to be next in line to take over from Patterson, the Black Cats must refrain from looking to move him on so early on in his career.
