One Sunderland summer signing was incredible in the 1-0 victory away at Hull City.
Sunderland managed a brilliant away victory against Hull City, with Regis Le Bris’ side running out as 1-0 victors.
There were many brilliant performances on the pitch, including a solid showing by team captain Dan Neil, who has been able to respond after a tricky run of games on a personal level.
Elsewhere on the pitch, Wilson Isidor played a crucial role away from his goal and looked brilliant when leading the line, whilst Chris Mepham proved to be a rock at the back for the Black Cats.
His performance was without a doubt ‘flawless’ for Sunderland in the win against Hull City, and it has deservedly got all the fans talking.

Sunderland fans react to ‘Rolls Royce’ performance by Chris Mepham
There is no doubt that the signing of Mepham on Deadline Day has been a shrewd piece of business for Sunderland, and he has really hit the ground running, with the win against Hull City proving to be a prime example of the difference he can make on the pitch.
The Black Cats defender has deservedly been handed praise by many on social media, with one fan suggesting that it was a ‘Rolls Royce’ performance from the Welshman.
Another fan suggested that ‘Chris Mepham was immense today his best performance for us and there’s been a few very good ones’, as another wrote that he was ‘class’.
On the ball, Mepham without a doubt looked composed, and that drew in a suggestion that he was ‘flawless’ at the back, and one fan went to a different level with his suggestion, writing ‘Chris Mepham might be the best centre half we’ve ever had’.

Regis Le Bris will be glad he has a leader such as Chris Mepham in the side
It is clear that Mepham has made a significant difference in terms of the quality of the backline and how solid they have been since his introduction.
However, there is very much a need to emphasise the importance of his experience as part of the backline, and that will have without a doubt helped in a game where they had to hold out for a 1-0 victory against an often exciting Hull City side on the attack.
Without Mepham, there may have not been quite as much assurance in the backline as there was today, and it is great to see that this has rightly been noticed by the Sunderland faithful.
