Sunderland maintained a perfect start to the new season with a 1-0 win vs Burnley on Saturday.
Sunderland have now won three from three in the 2024/25 Championship season, keeping three clean sheets in the process too.
Last weekend, Burnley visited to the Stadium of Light and Regis Le Bris‘ side claimed the 1-0 win, courtesy of a Romaine Mundle goal.
Sunderland fans were delighted for Mundle who stepped into the starting XI in place of Ipswich Town signing Jack Clarke.
Le Bris now finds his side in 1st place of the table and in high hopes ahead of the summer transfer window deadline this week, and ahead of a long-haul trip to Portsmouth this weekend.
Fans may be hoping to see Kristjaan Speakman pull off one or two more signings before the August 30th deadline.
At the Burnley game, Sunderland revealed Wilson Isidor as their latest signing, with the Zenit loan man ending the Black Cats’ summer-long search for a new striker.
Right now though, Sunderland supporters are simply enjoying the positive upturn under Le Bris.

Sunderland attendance vs Burnley
Once again, Sunderland fans turned up in numbers to watch their side take on Burnley last weekend.
In Le Bris’ first home game, he gave fans a taste of what might be to come this season, with his side beating Sheffield Wednesday 4-0.
And for the Burnley win, 40,096 were in attendance, making the Sunderland v Burnley game the most-attended in the Championship for Gameweek two.
It was the most-attended game by some distance too; Sheffield Wednesday at home to Leeds United on Friday came in second with an attendance of 28,800.

Regis Le Bris is giving Sunderland fans their team back
Last season is quickly becoming like a bad dream for Sunderland fans.
Watching their side capitulate in 2024, finishing in 16th and just six points above the drop zone, then going on a four-month long managerial search was tough.
But Le Bris has since brought the excitement back to Sunderland, especially in games at home with both Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley barely laying a finger on the Black Cats.
And the numbers for the Burnley game in particular showcase the early faith that fans have in Le Bris.
Expect many Sunderland fans to make the trip down to Portsmouth this coming weekend, in what may well be Le Bris’ toughest test yet; a long way from home and against a stubborn-looking Portsmouth outfit.
