Sunderland confirmed yet another injury blow before their Championship clash against Millwall.
Regis Le Bris took an injury-ravaged Sunderland side to Millwall on Saturday afternoon, with three key players also suspended for the game at The Den.
Speaking before the weekend, Le Bris confirmed injury blows for Romaine Mundle and Alan Browne who both face up to eight weeks on the sidelines.
They join the likes of Ian Poveda who picked up a quite serious muscle injury earlier in the campaign, as well as Ahmed Abdullahi and Salis Abdul Samed who are yet to feature since joining in the summer, owing to injury.
Other names who are on the sidelines include Jenson Seelt, and Niall Huggins who may not feature until next season.
Sunderland went into their game against Millwall in 1st place of the Championship table. But the Black Cats started the Millwall game in 2nd after Sheffield United drew against Coventry City in an early kick off on Saturday.

Sunderland confirm Dennis Cirkin injury blow ahead of Millwall
When the Sunderland team news came out at 2pm on Saturday, fans were surprised to see no Dennis Cirkin in the XI.
Sunderland then confirmed that Cirkin has undergone surgery on a broken wrist sustained in the 0-0 draw against QPR at the start of November.
The club wrote: “After sustaining a broken wrist against QPR, Dennis Cirkin misses today’s game after undergoing surgery during the international break.
“The defender is expected to return to action following a short recovery period.”
Cirkin has shone for the Black Cats this season. The left-back has been a standout player; not only for Sunderland but in the Championship as a whole, with Leeds United reportedly interested in Cirkin ahead of January.

Dennis Cirkin transfer claim laughed off at Sunderland
The former Spurs man is out of contract at the Stadium of Light in 2026. And given his fine form and this recently emerging transfer interest, Cirkin has been tipped to sign a new Sunderland contract.
And the Sunderland owners have also been backed to wave off apparent interest from Leeds United, who are rivalling Sunderland in the race for Championship promotion this season.
Pundit Carlton Palmer said of Leeds’ links to Cirkin: “Sunderland are top of the league and Leeds are vying to get promotion.
“He won’t be sold and I would be very, very surprised if he doesn’t commit his future to Sunderland in the coming weeks and months.”
Cirkin’s wonder strike against Coventry City before the break takes his goals tally in the Championship to two this season, with Cirkin having featured 15 times in the league so far.
