Sunderland were held to yet another draw in the Championship on Tuesday night, with Regis Le Bris’ side playing out a 0-0 against West Brom.
For Sunderland, it’s now five-straight draws in the Championship, with three of those being goalless draws.
On Tuesday night, Sunderland drew 0-0 with West Brom at the Stadium of Light and eventually settled for a point, which sees them move down to 3rd place of the Championship table.
Tommy Watson struggled for Sunderland against West Brom and perhaps summed up the Back Cats’ performance on the night.

Regis Le Bris earning Jack Ross comparisons at Sunderland
In recent weeks, Sunderland fans have been critical of Le Bris for holding back when in the lead, and dropping points in games against Coventry City and Millwall.
After the 2-2 draw against Coventry City, one Sunderland fan posted on X: “Played like a Jack Ross team in the 2nd half,” after watching his team throw away a two-goal lead after the restart.
Another fan said during he Coventry display: “Very Jack Ross-esque today I’d dare say,” and it’s a theme that seems to be gathering speed on social media.
“It’s Jack Ross all over again,” said one Sunderland fan after the Millwall game. Then during the West Brom draw, one Black Cats supporter said Le Bris is “the French jack Ross”.
Others posted similar things during the game. One fan said: “Jack Ross would be proud right now,” and another added: “Regis Le Bris is gonna be the French Jack Ross ain’t he?”

Jack Ross record at Sunderland compared to Regis Le Bris
Ross, who was last manager of Dundee United, was Sunderland boss between May 2018 and October 2019.
He oversaw 75 games and won 38 (50.67%). But he underachieved with the Blacks Cats in League One, with many at the time saying Ross had a negative style of play.
Le Bris so far has nine wins in 18 games as Sunderland boss (50%). And after some bland draws of late, fans are making the quite obvious comparison between him and Ross, who both like to sit back in games.
With so much attacking talent in the side, Le Bris really needs to find a way to harness it, and play more entertaining football like his side were at the start of the campaign.
