Sunderland will be looking to bounce back quickly from the dropped points over the weekend, by taking all three against Luton Town this week.
The Black Cats could only muster a 2-2 draw against Watford on Saturday afternoon. While the draw maintained Sunderland’s unbeaten home run, it will be seen as two points dropped in the race for promotion.
Regis Le Bris’ men will now be hoping to put things right by securing a win over Luton Town, who are currently wallowing in 23rd place in the Championship table.
However, if we’ve learned anything from Sunderland’s draw against bottom of the league Plymouth Argyle a fortnight ago, the Mackems do have a tendency to make a meal of the games they’re expected to win.
Still, win, lose, or draw, it’s always entertaining at the Stadium of Light. So, here’s how to watch Sunderland vs Luton Town, plus all the latest team news.

The game between Sunderland and Luton is scheduled to kick off at 7:45pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2025.

Team news ahead of Sunderland vs Luton
Sunderland’s injury list is improving by the day, with key players very close to a return now. Last week, Le Bris offered a positive update on Alan Browne, Tommy Watson, and Romaine Mundle, with the trio set to be back in training by the end of this week.
Browne is playing for the Under-21s tonight, as he steps up his recovery. He’s unlikely to feature for the first-team tomorrow, then, but he’s not far away from a full return. Watson and Mundle are just behind him.
Jobe Bellingham missed the Watford game, but his minor issue is believed to be out of the way now and he is back in contention for Luton.
Meanwhile, Jayden Danns arrived with an injury, but the new signing is expected to be back in training by next week.
Luton Town have a handful of issues themselves, with Tahith Chong out until the end of the month and Teden Mengi absent until April. Tom Lockyer, Shandon Baptiste, and Reece Burke are all doubtful, too.
