Amad Diallo could still be allowed to leave Manchester United this summer.
iNews have reported that Erik ten Hag is yet to make a decision on whether to keep the youngster at Old Trafford next season after a stellar loan spell with Sunderland.
Amad failed to impress the Red Devils after joining in a potential £37 million from Atalanta in 2021, however his stint on Wearside that saw him net 14 goals has put him back in the first team picture.

With the likes of Leeds United and Southampton also linked with the Ivorian, it looked extremely unlikely that Amad would return to the Stadium of Light.
The likes of Jadon Sancho and Antony had endured a rather underwhelming campaign last time out and fans were hopeful that Amad would be given a chance with the seniors.
However, Sunderland may have been handed a lifeline, with Ten Hag telling iNews: “You don’t make conclusions after one week.”
Amad started in United’s pre-season opener against Leeds United on Wednesday and showed flashes of brilliance, though it remains to be seen whether he will be given the opportunity to shine in the Premier League.
Amad Diallo isn’t ready for Manchester United – but he would be Sunderland’s signing of the summer
Amad Diallo quickly proved himself to be a level above Sunderland as he continued to dominate teams last season.
Tony Mowbray has often declared his love for the former loanee, admitting to The Northern Echo in January that he has the talent to play at the top level.
“His performance level has been extremely high,” Mowbray said.

“I had a long conversation with coaches at Manchester United this week who were asking about Amad. He undoubtedly has the talent to play at the top level.”
While Amad is definitely capable of performing in the Premier League, it would be a surprise to see him impress at such a huge club like Manchester United quite yet.
The youngster needs another year or two out on loan before he will reach that standard, while he has the ability to completely transform Sunderland’s season if they managed to lure him back to the club.
