The January transfer window is into its final week now, and Sunderland still have lots of potential business to do when it comes to both incomings and outgoings.

As things stand, Enzo Le Fee is still the only confirmed Sunderland signing this month, but there are plenty of rumours to suggest the Black Cats will still bring in at least one more player.

It is thought Sunderland’s next priority is to sign a new striker, but multiple names have already come and gone in that respect, with the Mackems missing out on various targets.

So, who can Sunderland turn to next? And, can they hold onto their own top talent as the days tick by? Sunderland AFC News has all the latest transfer news and rumours for you.

Sunderland fighting Premier League clubs for Semih Kilicsoy

The latest name to emerge for Sunderland this week is Semih Kilicsoy, the 19-year-old Turkish star currently playing for Besiktas.

Sunderland are believed to have tentatively looked at a loan-to-buy package for the youngster, but Besiktas manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is wary of letting him leave.

A deal wouldn’t be easy to strike anyway, given there is also interest from Ajax, while closer to home, Newcastle and Aston Villa also like Kilicsoy.

Jobe Bellingham now wanted by Bayer Leverkusen

We all know Jobe Bellingham is a wanted man, with both Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund keen on the Sunderland star.

More recently, the idea of a move to Germany for Jobe has been looking more and more likely, and now, a new horse has entered the race.

It is now thought Bayer Leverkusen are ‘serious’ about signing Jobe, and there is a suggestion that the Bundesliga champions could be ideal for the youngster as he looks to carve out his own path away from the one his brother, Jude, already walked at Dortmund.

Emil Riis could be a great option for Sunderland

As Sunderland hunt for a new forward, they may be looking at current Championship talent like Preston North End’s Emil Riis.

Riis was first linked with Sunderland earlier this month, and that talk has not gone away, especially given his recent form for Preston.

Now, according to Preston North End expert Olly Dawes, Riis would deliver goals for Sunderland, and could cost as little as £1m. He may not be the kind of player who can dislodge Wilson Isidor in the starting lineup, but as a backup option, the Danish forward could be great value for Sunderland.
