Sunderland have shown interest over the loan signing of a Premier League attacker.
The Black Cats are making plenty of progress in the January transfer window, with one bolster signing already through the doors at the Stadium of Light.
The arrival of midfielder Enzo Le Fee is a real statement signing for Sunderland, who now comfortably have massive strength in the centre-of-the-park, with the Frenchman joining the likes of Chris Rigg and Jobe Bellingham.
Sunderland are by no means done there in regards to arrivals as they look to potentially improve their attacking options, an area that has been rather light in regards to personnel since the untimely injuries sustained by Romaine Mundle and Tommy Watson.
A player currently plying his trade in the Premier League is wanted by Sunderland, and they may have to fight with a fellow promotion candidate to get his signature.

Sunderland interested in loan deal for Ben Brereton Diaz as Sheffield United also keen
Due to the current lack of attacking options available for Regis Le Bris, it is no surprise to see both himself and Kristjaan Speakman interested in bolstering their numbers with extra talent.
One player that Sunderland are reportedly interested in, per Sky Sports, is Ben Brereton Diaz, who is available on loan from Southampton.
The Premier League side signed the Chilean international for £7million this summer, but he has struggled to adapt to Premier League level.
The Saints are hoping to sanction a loan move with an obligation to buy if the club that signs the attacker reaches the Premier League, as Sheffield United are also interested in retaining their former player.

Ben Brereton Diaz transfer pursuit could be significant in promotion race
It will be somewhat difficult for Sunderland to sneak ahead of Sheffield United in the pursuit of Brereton Diaz due to the Chilean’s previous ties to the Steel City, however, it will certainly be a sign of intent from the Black Cats if they are able to complete the deal.
Not only will it see Le Bris acquire a player that has previously been immense at Championship level, but it will also prevent fellow promotion contenders Sheffield United from strengthening their front line.
Despite the Chilean’s poor form recently, a drop in divisions will certainly bring the best out of Brereton Diaz, and it would certainly be a smart acquisition by Speakman.
