It’s not taken long for Wilson Isidor to become yet another in demand Sunderland player, with the likes of Leeds United now taking a look.
Sunderland signed Wilson Isidor almost out of the blue last summer. The 24-year-old Frenchman joined on an initial loan deal from Zenit, and sure enough, he became a fan favourite after just a few games of the season.
Isidor and the Black Cats fans seem to have a great relationship. And that’s certainly helped by Isidor’s prolific form this season with 12 goals to his name, almost all of which being very impressive goals too.
Earlier in the month, Sunderland lost 2-1 against Leeds United. Isidor scored with another fine finish that game, and soon after the match, it was reported that Leeds United have shortlisted Isidor ahead of the summer transfer window.
But the Whites aren’t alone. It’s also been claimed that Crystal Palace and Spurs are interested in Isidor after having scouts at the game at Elland Road, with a view to actually scouting other players.

Carlton Palmer makes Wilson Isidor price tag prediction amid Leeds United interest
Speaking to Football League World, pundit Carlton Palmer has discussed Isidor’s future at the Stadium of Light, suggesting how much the Black Cats might sell for in the summer transfer window as interest grows.
He said: “Will Sunderland cash in? They are a selling club, they bring players in and sell. Whatever fee comes in, Sunderland will have a look and see if it’s worth cashing in.
“Sunderland want to get promoted themselves and if they do then that becomes a different ball game in terms of keeping the player, who will already be in the Premier League if they go up via the play-offs.
“So what would he be worth? They paid £3 million for him, you’d still put him in the category that Sunderland would be looking for £10-12 million back, which would be a decent return on their investment.”

How much Sunderland actually paid for Wilson Isidor
When Isidor joined Sunderland on loan, reports stated that the Black Cats had a £3.5million option to buy the striker. But since his permanent signing, it’s actually been revealed that Sunderland paid £5milllion for Isidor.
So £10million for the striker, who’s under contract at the club until the summer of 2027, would mark a double up for owner Kyril Louis-Dreyfus. But given the ability that Isidor has and the potential he’s shown, expect £10million to be a starting point at the very least.
Sunderland usually value their star players around the £20million mark. Isidor has the hallmark qualities of a Premier League striker and if he remains prolific until the summer, possibly even hitting the 20 goal mark, he could become another £20million player at the club.
Either way, Sunderland won’t any player sell unless their valuation is met. That’s been proved in recent transfer windows.
The Black Cats return to action against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night.
