Sunderland continue to be linked with a move for Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore, who looks set to leave the Cherries before 11pm tonight.

It’s already proving to be a manic deadline day where Sunderland are concerned, and a manic day for Bournemouth and Wales striker Moore too.

The 31-year-old has been subject of loan bids from both the Black Cats and Ipswich Town this month, though it looked like a loan exit was looking less and less likely ahead of deadline day.

But Moore apparently stated his desire to leave, and this morning, Bournemouth reportedly agreed a deal to sign Getafe striker Enes Unal on loan; potentially opening the door for Moore to leave on loan.

But for Sunderland, it looks like Moore remains an unlikely potential signing, with Ipswich apparently offering the more favourable financial package.

Michael Graham rated Sunderland’s chances of signing Moore, branding it ‘highly unlikely’:

On a positive note, Sunderland’s links to Barnsley wing-back Callum Styles have been reignited this morning, after initial links went cold ahead of deadline day.

Moore saga set to rumble on

Moore certainly seems to be on the verge of leaving Bournemouth, with a Championship loan move looking likely.

And it seems like Ipswich are currently leading the race given reports of their financial package being more desirable, and with Sunderland spending money on Romaine Mundle and maybe Styles too, it could mean that there’s no more resources to get a deal over the line for Moore.

So whilst Sunderland deserve praise for spending money in the final 48 hours of the window, they could once again be left without a striker; this would be a third window running where they’ve failed to properly bolster the no.9 position.
