Leeds United are interested in signing Edouard Michut this summer.
Fabrizio Romano has reported the Whites are one of several clubs looking at the midfielder, just a couple of months after he turned down a permanent deal with Sunderland.
Michut joined the Black Cats on loan from Paris Saint-Germain for the 2022-23 season and played a vital part in the club reaching the play-offs, making 25 appearances in the process.
Sunderland signed the Frenchman with an option to buy for around £2.5 million and it came as a surprise to fans when Kristjaan Speakman confirmed that they would not be keeping Michut beyond last season.

Tony Mowbray had previously expressed his admiration for Michut, telling the club: “Edouard is a young footballer who has shown what a talent he is.
“We have to decide if the cost attached to Edouard is appropriate for what we will have to try and add to the team and strengthen in all areas of the pitch.”
However, Michut later told L’Equipe that it was his choice not to stay on Wearside as they couldn’t come to an agreement on a contract, while their style of play ‘didn’t suit’ him.
With the youngster looking very likely to leave PSG this summer, Leeds United could now bring Michut back to the Championship after only a few months back in the French capital.
Edouard Michut will shine at Leeds United
It was understandably a huge disappointment when Edouard Michut decided to leave Sunderland, however there is no doubt that the Black Cats will easily replace him. The club’s recruitment staff have become very reliable in recent seasons.

Meanwhile, the Whites will be landing a very promising player if they can win the race for the midfielder’s signature this summer.
Daniel Farke’s side are likely to lose a number of key players ahead of the new season and Michut could earn himself regular game time at Elland Road, while he has already shown he is very up for a promotion challenge.
