Sunderland are on the verge of offloading Jewison Bennette thanks to the Ukrainian transfer window being open late, and we now know how much the Black Cats will receive for the player.
Despite a last-minute move to Charlton falling through on deadline day, Jewison Bennette is going to get the chance to put his career back on track, it seems.
The 20-year-old has only played for Regis Le Bris once, with a Carabao Cup appearance back in August his sole outing for Sunderland this season.
Now, a month after the English transfer window closed, the Mackems are finally moving Bennette on, with the youngster en route to Ukraine to finalise his transfer.

Jewison Bennette transfer pending, Sunderland fee revealed
A week ago, we learned that Bennette was lined up for a move to Ukrainian side LNZ Cherkasy, with positive talks taking place between all parties.
Those discussions reached an advanced stage over the weekend, and now, as per Ihor Burbas (via Zorya Londonsk on Twitter/X) it seems the transfer is on the verge of being completed.
Bennette is now said to be “on his way to LNZ”, with the switch to the Ukrainian Premier League all-but wrapped up.
And, according to the report, Sunderland are set to receive a fee of €500k (£416,847) which is inclusive of any add-ons and bonuses.
It’s a big moment for LNZ, who are also close to completing the signing of Beni Makouana, too. The Ukraine transfer deadline closes in less than a week, on March 11, which means Sunderland should have very little to fear in terms of another collapse for Bennette’s exit.

The transfer fee isn’t important to Sunderland, offloading Bennette is
James Copley also added information on the situation, revealing the “exit is now looking likely” for Bennette, after being sidelined completely by Le Bris this term.
Le Bris was very forthcoming with his thoughts on Bennette, stating in last week’s press conference that the player would definitely be moving on after being surplus to requirements.
While such a small transfer fee was always expected, the truth is, the money received here is not all that important. The main thing is, Le Bris is clearing out his squad and moving on players that he knows he doesn’t want or need.
Sales like this will put the Sunderland squad in good shape for next season, whichever league they may be playing in.
