One Black Cats man will surely be started by Regis Le Bris next time out after his short cameo.
Sunderland picked up a point on their travels as they drew 0-0 with fellow promotion contenders Burnley.
The Black Cats, despite several chances, including two missed penalties courtesy of Wilson Isidor, couldn’t find a breakthrough against Scott Parker’s defence that has only conceded nine goals so far this season.
However, there were still positives to take away from the game, despite it feeling as though Regis Le Bris’ side have dropped two points, and that was the debut of Enzo Le Fee, who looks as though he will offer plenty to Sunderland this season.
Another point to take from the game was the short substitute cameo made by one man who Le Bris will surely bring back into the side next time out against Derby County.

Sunderland star Eliezer Mayenda will surely return to the side after cameo vs Burnley
Black Cats forward Eliezer Mayenda has been somewhat streaky at times this season, but for what is his breakout Championship season, he has certainly exceeded the expectations of all Sunderland fans.
The 19-year-old forward was dropped to the bench after seven successive starts for Le Bris side, despite managing three goal contributions in his last two Championship appearances.
Despite only being handed a short cameo of 13 minutes, he certainly showed why he should be in contention to be brought back into the starting lineup next time out after proving to be ‘a nuisance off the bench’, per Sunderland Echo.

Eliezer Mayenda stats vs Burnley show that striker partnership must be revived by Regis Le Bris
Mayenda proved to be such a bright spark for Sunderland when he came on, from setting Isidor away before he claimed a penalty, whilst also fashioning his own top chance that was denied by some top Burnley defending.
Per SofaScore, Mayenda conjured up an expected assists rate of 1.04, a remarkable fate for just 13 minutes of action. He also made one key pass and created one big chance during his short cameo.
It is clear that Mayenda’s introduction managed to bring the very best out of Isidor, aside from the penalty misses, as the Spaniard did very well to find his forward partner and set him up for a crucial opportunity.
Le Bris’ decision in previous games to deploy Mayenda and Isidor as a front two has worked wonders, and there is no reason why he shouldn’t continue doing so from the next game against Derby County and onwards.
