Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris should be looking to backtrack over one selection decision he made last time out.
Sunderland face Coventry City this weekend, where the Black Cats will be hoping to bounce back from a draw against Preston North End.
In the tie with Preston at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland fans weren’t too happy with Jobe Bellingham’s performance, whilst Romaine Mundle saved the day with a last minute goal for the Black Cats, arrowing a terrific strike into the top right corner past former Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
Before the game, Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris yet again made several surprising decisions surrounding team selection, which saw Wilson Isidor and Eliezer Mayenda start as a front two, whilst Dennis Cirkin and Tommy Watson notably replaced Leo Hjelde and Romaine Mundle respectively.
With the upcoming clash with Coventry City, Sunderland boss Le Bris will surely revert one of these bold decisions that didn’t work out for the Black Cats.

Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris must reintroduce Romaine Mundle ahead of Coventry City clash
It will be likely that Le Bris will revert several decisions ahead of the away visit to the CBS Arena to face off against Frank Lampard’s Coventry City, including a return to a one-striker formation.
However, another change that Le Bris must make to give his side the best chances against Coventry is by reintroducing Mundle to the starting side.
Mundle notably bagged the leveller for Sunderland against Preston North End, and looked a real live wire when he was introduced for Tommy Watson, adding extra dynamism to the frontline that was fairly flat until he entered the fray.
As a result of his likely inclusion, it will almost certainly see Watson return to the bench.

Regis Le Bris must ease Tommy Watson into the side and not chuck him in the deep end
Mundle’s main competition, with Enzo Le Fee being injured, is certainly Watson, who was in fine form before his untimely injury picked up just weeks after Mundle was ruled out for a long period.
Despite the previous form for the Sunderland man, it was clear at the weekend that he wasn’t fully up to the standards that he met before his injury, and it might be worth Le Bris easing the 19-year-old into the side, as opposed to throwing him into the deep end.
On the left flank, Le Bris has the wealth of selection choices, because of Mundle’s return to injury, which should see Watson reinstated as a back-up winger, and one that notches 20/25 minutes here-and-there to get his fitness and confidence back to what it was before his injury.
