Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris gave an update surrounding Enzo Le Fee, as well as a near-to-return Black Cats man.
Sunderland beat Millwall 1-0 at the Stadium of Light, as Trai Hume bagged a brilliant goal from a well-worked set-piece.
There were several top performances, particularly from the ‘outstanding’ showing by Sunderland ace Patrick Roberts, whilst Alan Browne did brilliantly as a stand-in right-back.
The fact that Regis Le Bris’ side were able to notch a clean sheet against a gritty Millwall side, managed by Alex Neil, is a testament to the group, especially amid the injury issues that have hampered the Frenchman’s selections.
Fortunately, though, Le Bris gave some positive injury news following the Millwall win, as he said when he expects Enzo Le Fee to return to the squad, as well as another integral player.

Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris gives Enzo Le Fee and Leo Hjelde injury update after Millwall win
Following the victory against former Black Cats coach Alex Neil, Sunderland boss Le Bris confirmed that they ‘expect’ a near return for Le Fee.
Per Sunderland Echo, Le Bris said: “We expect Leo [Hjelde] and Enzo next week.”
There was anticipation that Le Fee could have played a part in the squad that faced Millwall, but he didn’t quite make the cut, whilst Leo Hjelde’s unavailability made options light at left-back, where Hume had to slot in.
It will be brilliant to have Le Fee, in particular returning to the squad after his injury, but there is one mistake that Le Bris could make that he should hopefully not repeat.

Regis Le Bris must not repeat previous Enzo Le Fee error
Optimism will be high to witness the return of Le Fee from injury, and rightly so, after the promise and quality that he showed in glimpses following his arrival from Roma on loan.
However, with left-wing options now more than sound, due to the fact that Romaine Mundle and Tommy Watson are 100% fit, Le Bris will surely not repeat the error of playing the French superstar out on the flank like he did when he first arrived.
Le Fee was still able to perform on the left, but struggled to make a direct impact, which understandably came from Le Bris’ reluctance to play him in his natural central position. If Le Bris looks to play Le Fee where he is natural, we could see a player potentially dominate the Championship.
