In their last outing before the break, Sunderland were beaten 3-0 at Coventry in a disappointing game, and a display labelled ‘lazy’ by some Sunderland supporters.
Neil’s Millwall will prove a tough test for Sunderland and as Le Bris’ squad prepared in training this, the appearance of one of his most-gifted players back on the Academy of Light training pitch will leave fans extremely excited for his highly-anticipated return.

‘Quality’ Enzo Le Fee back on training field for Sunderland
Sunderland’s social media content ahead of the Millwall clash showcased midfield maestro Enzo Le Fee’s return to the training pitch.
January transfer window arrival Le Fee was forced off during Sunderland’s 1-0 defeat against Hull City last month, with his performances prior to that unifying the supporters in their elation at his Wearside arrival.
Le Bris has previously labelled countryman Le Fee as ‘quality’ via SAFC.com and as having ‘so many good qualities’, which was justified praise for the Roma loanee who had taken the second tier by storm prior to his stint on the sidelines.
The Sunderland boss revealed in his pre-Millwall press conference that the club ‘expect Le Fee will need one more week’ and as such won’t make his first-team return on Saturday, yet his presence on the training pitch is an exciting prospect for supporters.
Sunderland are obligated to buy Le Fee if they earn promotion to the Premier League this season and the impending return of the loan magician to Le Bris’ starting XI will certainly swing the balance in the Black Cats’ favour.
Wilson Isidor scores cheeky goal in Sunderland training
Elsewhere in training, centre-forward Wilson Isidor looked back to his sharpest following the international break, seen scoring some screamers past squad goalkeeper Blondy Noukeu.
Isidor has been a revelation in his debut Black Cats season, notching 12 goals by spearheading Sunderland’s attack. Despite his stellar campaign overall, Isidor has failed to find the net in his previous five Sunderland outings, with his last goal coming away to Leeds in mid-February.
| Key statistics | Wilson Isidor so far this season at Sunderland |
| Games played | 35 |
| Goals | 12 |
| Assists | 2 |
| Shots on target | 34 |
| Chances created | 23 |
A return to the goals for 24-year-old Isidor, who has struck an impressive partnership with Eliezer Mayenda, will be pivotal for Sunderland’s promotion prospects.
‘Really impressive’ Sunderland academy ace could feature against Millwall
Black Cats academy youngster Oli Bainbridge was also spotted involved in training ahead of Millwall and given Sunderland’s defensive injury crisis, Le Bris could hand a first-team debut to the 19-year-old full-back on Saturday.
With Dennis Cirkin and Leo Hjelde out, the Millwall clash could offer a window of first-team opportunity for ex-Kilmarnock loanee Bainbridge, who made nine appearances for the Scottish outfit earlier in the campaign.

Black Cats academy boss Robin Nicholls said of Bainbridge’s loan stint, via SAFC.com: “The time with Kilmarnock has been excellent for Oli. It was an incredibly difficult challenge for him to go to such a big club for his first loan but we have been really impressed with how he has faced it.”
After starting against giants Celtic at Celtic Park and Rangers at Ibrox for the Killies, Bainbridge is clearly no stranger to playing on the big senior stages, and could be entrusted to make his first senior display for Sunderland in the crunch clash against Millwall on Saturday.
