Sunderland have a lot of exciting players in their squad right now, and one of them has just been crowned the most valuable player in the Championship.

Regis Le Bris’ young Sunderland side are one of the success stories of the season so far, and while they may have lost pace in the title race, they still have a great chance of promotion.

Among the Sunderland squad, there are arguably no players more talented and influential than Jobe Bellingham.

He’s one of the top performers for Sunderland this season so far, and now he’s just been named the most valuable player in the Championship.

Jobe Bellingham’s market value has risen, but it’s still not high enough

According to data from Transfermarkt shared on Twitter/X, Bellingham is now top of the list in the second tier when it comes to market value.

The Sunderland midfielder is now thought to be worth €18m (equivalent to £14.9m), which is €6m (£4.9m) higher than his value at this time last year.

Jobe is joined by Wilfried Gnonto, James Trafford, and Anel Ahmedhodzic as the most valuable players in the league.

Fellow Sunderland teammates Anthony Patterson and Chris Rigg are next on the list at €12m (£9.95m).

Premier League move looks inevitable for Jobe at the end of the season

If Sunderland were to sell Jobe for just £15m, you can bet the Black Cats’ hierarchy would come in for some anger from the fans, as the ‘superstar’ is arguably worth double that, at least.

Arsenal and Manchester United are the latest to be linked with Jobe, and have been told negotiating personal terms would not be an issue if they were to make a move at the end of the season.

Bellingham was hailed as the best in the Championship by the folks on the Second Tier podcast after his recent run of good form. At the same time, Bellingham professed his love for Sunderland and the amazing support he gets from the fans.

While both Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with a move for the 19-year-old, there is a good chance Bellingham would turn them both down in favour of sticking with Sunderland and forging his own path away from the shadow of his brother, Jude.
