Sunderland man needs to be dropped

Sunderland have been in dreadful form. Since sacking Michael Beale, incoming interim manager Mike Dodds has not won a game.

This has resulted in the club losing seven games in a row. As a result, their playoff hopes have all but diminished.

Now, calls have been made to drop Abdoullah Ba. The attacker has offered little in attack in recent games as the Black Cats struggle to get out of their poor form.

Back in January, Sunderland were linked with numerous players as they hoped to return to the Premier League. Among the list was fan-favourite Amad Diallo who netted 14 goals last season.

It was believed that the Ivorian was keen on a return in January but these claims were quickly shot down.

However, a recent turn of events has pointed towards journalist Michael Graham being correct with his information.

Sunderland are with a permanent manager. Dodds is set to give up his reign at the Stadium of Light in the summer, with multiple managers linked to the role.

Will Still has been the most prominent name linked. However, the club have now been urged to go for Sheffield Wednesday’s Danny Rohl.

The upcoming manager took over halfway through the season and looks like he might be able to guide the club to safety. As a result, Carlton Palmer suggested that Sunderland should take a look at the manager for the next campaign.
