Sunderland have revealed when they could unveil the new home and away shirts for the 2023-24 season.
The club announced a new multi-year partnership with Nike yesterday, which will see the Black Cats sport the famous Nike Swoosh until 2027.
The agreement will also see North East-based Just Sport Group lead the Club’s online and stadium-based retail, which includes the launch of the brand new online store.
As part of the announcement, Sunderland revealed that the store at the Stadium of Light will be closed until 10am on Thursday 6th July before the new kits are made available ‘upon reopening’.

On their new partnership, Chief Operating Officer, Steve Davison, said: “We have enjoyed a successful partnership with the Just Sport Group and Nike over the past three years, so we are delighted to be strengthening our relationship with a world-renowned brand that is also embedded within the North East.
“Following regular dialogue with our supporters’ groups and the wider fan base, we recognised the importance of improving our retail experience this summer and we look forward to supporting the Just Sport Group in delivering an enhanced service throughout the next four years.”
Peter Crawford, Chairman of the Just Sport Group added: “Alongside Nike, the Just Sport Group are delighted to extend our agreement with Sunderland AFC for the next four years and we look forward with excitement to developing our partnership further during this next phase of our relationship.”
When is Sunderland’s new kit launch?
Sunderland’s latest statement confirms that the new kits will be unveiled upon the club shop’s reopening, which would suggest that the kit launch could occur at 10am tomorrow (Thursday).

The Black Cats’ kit ahead of their return to the Championship went on sale on July 7 – a week later than this season.
Fans are often left frustrated by how long they have to wait to see the new kit, which many supporters hoping one of their recent signings would include the new home shirt.
