The Ivorian winger was one of the best Championship loan signings for any side in the past decade, and the fact that Sunderland were able to turn his career around at a decisive moment will truly bode well for the club as they look to find their next youngsters to further propel the club.
From the previous success with Diallo, to the current brilliance that current youngsters Chris Rigg and Jobe Bellingham are displaying on Wearside, it is safe to say that Sunderland have accumulated a reputation for a club that simply gets it when nurturing young stars, and that will no doubt help for the future.
