Sunderland priorities laid out by Regis Le Bris as transfer window looms

Le Bris has made it clear that he would previously like to add to his backroom staff when the perfect time comes, however, when quizzed on the progress of it, he made it clear that his priorities at this moment lie more within the impending January transfer window.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the Norwich City clash, he said: “We are still aware of what we can improve as a staff but the main priority is not that one.

“Behind the scenes, we can assess our options. It’s an option to improve the staff but the priority right now is the games.

Sunderland have already started identifying potential transfers ahead of the January window, with the likes of Louie Barry linked with a move to Wearside.

Kristjaan Speakman must meet lofty transfer expectations set by Regis Le Bris

It is evident that Le Bris is hoping that some necessary progress is made during the January transfer window in regards to bringing personnel through the door.

The French boss will be wanting a striker in through the door this January based on his recent comments, as well as many departures sanction, with the likes of Jewison Bennette amd Abdoullah Ba likely to be handed loans away from the club.

The foundations of the squad have been built brilliantly, but in order to improve their chances this season, some issues including squad depth must be resolved by Kristjaan Speakman.
