Sunderland favourite Jack Clarke has dropped another veiled hint on his future at the club.
Sunderland ace Jack Clarke is widely expected to leave the Stadium of Light in the near future.
It comes after another standout season for the 23-year-old who scored 15 goals and assisted four more in 40 Championship outings last season, winning the club’s Player of the Year award.
Last summer, Clarke had strong Premier League interest from Burnley who were knocked back in their multiple approaches, with reports suggesting that the Clarets were tabling bids around the £10million mark.
Since, numerous reports have claimed that Clarke will now cost around £20million, with the likes of Crystal Palace, Southampton, and Wolves all linked this summer.
As things stand, it seems like Crystal Palace are the most keen on Clarke after losing Michel Olise to Bayern Munich.
And now, Clarke has dropped a probable hint on his future at Sunderland.

Jack Clarke drops veiled hint on Sunderland future amid Crystal Palace interest
Clarke is currently away with his Sunderland teammates in Spain where the Black Cats will face Nottingham Forest and Eldense in two pre-season friendlies.
Speaking to Sunderland Echo, Clarke gave an insight into where he’s at right now, whilst also discussing his hopes with Sunderland next season.
Clarke said: “Like everyone else, I’m still trying to get up to match speed and fitness and dust off the cobwebs. Hopefully by the time the season starts I’ll be back at my best.
“I still feel like I could have brought a lot more. I’ll try to bring a lot more as the season unfolds.
“There were still a lot of chances I missed and still a lot more I could have done, hopefully I’ll bring that this season.”

One thing is very impressive with Jack Clarke at Sunderland
Aside from his natural ability, and the way that he continues to improve as a player and provide the goods for Sunderland, Clarke’s attitude has been very impressive.
He could’ve sealed a Premier League transfer last summer. Sunderland knocked back the offers, yet Clarke didn’t get unsettled, instead going on to put in another whirlwind season in the Championship.
And so we can expect the same from Clarke again next season if a summer transfer doesn’t work out, especially given his comments above which suggest that he’s readying for the new season with Sunderland.
If the Black Cats can keep Clarke then it’ll really help new head coach Regis Le Bris to get some wins on the board next time round.
