Manchester United and Wrexham clashed last night, with Sunderland target Nathan Bishop at the centre of the big talking point.
Yesterday it was reported by The Northern Echo that an agreement had been reached by Sunderland for the signature of Nathan Bishop.
Bishop has been a target for the Black Cats all summer as they look to add to their goalkeeping department.
The 23-year-old will remain on United’s tour of the states until they return before then reportedly finalising his move to the Stadium of Light.
Bishop will be expected to provide competition to Anthony Patterson with the ability to eventually surpass him.
The final game of United’s tour is on Sunday so a deal should be completed next week at some stage.

Bishop slammed by Parkinson
In last nights game against Wrexham, Bishop who started for United, made a horror tackle which put Paul Mullin in hospital with a punctured lung.
Following this, as reported by the Sunderland Echo, Parkinson spoke of his fury over the tackle.
“It’s a clumsy challenge from the goalkeeper, I’m disappointed with that,” Parkinson said.
“It should have been a straight red. If it’s not denying a goalscoring opportunity, it’s still a dangerous challenge.”
He continued, “So if you add the two scenarios together he should have been off the pitch.
“I’m fuming about it, I’ve got to be honest with you. It was a clumsy, reckless, challenge in a pre-season game and I’m not happy with it at all.
“I haven’t seen the goalie and he’s probably best steering clear of us for the time being because we’re not very happy.”
A horrific challenge and it is likely Bishop should have seen red for his foul.
He will be hoping to avoid drawing Wrexham in any cup competition next season, with Parkinson’s threat.
