Sunderland’s pre-season campaign is well underway as they prepare for the 2024/25 season. Regis Le Bris led the Black Cats out for the first time last weekend as they played non-league sides South Shields and Gateshead.
Now, Sunderland will face an opponent at the opposition end of the English pyramid. To start off the Black Cats’ pre-season tour in Spain, they will take on Nottingham Forest on Friday, July 19.
The Premier League side won promotion into the top flight in the 2021/22 campaign and has remained in the division ever since.
The match will no doubt be a tough test for Le Bris’ side as he assesses where the club is and what improvements need to be made.
