Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris has shown his confidence in one out-of-form man.
The Black Cats came down from a goal to beat Norwich City at the Stadium of Light, winning 2-1.
Sunderland were up against the cosh in the opening stanza, with Borja Sainz causing some antics to wind up the fans in Wearside, however, an inspired showing by Regis Le Bris’ side saw Dan Ballard bag a goal, with Eliezer Mayenda setting up the centre-back with a lovely assist, whilst Jobe Bellingham also found the back of the net.
Despite the quality of the forward line, which helped the Black Cats to a brilliant home victory, one man that was not quite at the races was Wilson Isidor, who snatched at a big chance before Sunderland managed to score that decisive goal.
Although he hasn’t been in luck in front of goal, Sunderland boss Le Bris has continued to show his confidence in the Frenchman.

Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris shows confidence in Wilson Isidor despite form
Isidor has bagged five goals in total during his spell on Weaside so far, however, his recent form has somewhat dipped.
After another game without a goal for Sunderland, Le Bris was asked about the striker’s dip in form, to which he said: “He didn’t score today but I know that he will…”
Whilst the French boss still clearly has confidence in the attacker to regain his goalscoring touch for the Black Cats, the stats in the 2-1 home win against the Canaries suggests that there is plenty that Isidor must improve on.

Wilson Isidor stats vs Norwich City show underlying issue
On the surface, it appeared that Isidor somewhat disappeared throughout the game, and was often evaded when it came to chances for Sunderland, and the stats do more than back up that case.
Per SofaScore, he managed just 13 touches in the entire game, making just one single accurate pass.
Hebalso had just one shot the entire game, which was blasted wide in a big chance for the Black Cats to take the lead at the Stadium of Light.
It’s clear that, if Isidor isn’t on top form, then he almost ghosts from the game, and that is a major cause for concern for Le Bris, who must work out an alternative way to get more out of the Frenchman in games such as this.
