On top of his insane goalscoring record, Mendy is highly impressive in a number of statistics.
According to Fbref, xG-wise, Mendy massively overperformed last season. Despite netting 22 goals, he was only predicted 18.
On top of this, the striker is seen as a formidable opponent in the air, winning 4.18 aerial duels per 90 minutes. As a result, he is not afraid of touching the ball in the opposition’s box, averaging 5.07 per game as well as receiving 6.61 progressive passes.
