Sunderland youngster Chris Rigg has attracted interest from yet another Premier League side.
Since Chris Rigg’s Sunderland debut under former boss Tony Mowbray, the midfield youngster has come on leaps and bounds in Regis Le Bris’ side.
Playing an integral role in the centre of the park alongside Jobe Bellingham, Sunderland youngster Rigg has shown himself to be one of the country’s leading talents.
For Sunderland, this has expectedly been a blessing and a curse; not every side can have such an exciting prospect emerge from their academy set-up, but this has prompted Premier League clubs to line up to sign the midfielder.
Manchester United and Arsenal have shown interest in Rigg, and they have been joined by yet another Premier League side, however, their evaluation looks to be well-short of Sunderland’s.

Sunderland set £20million evaluation for Chris Rigg amid West Ham interest, but there’s a catch
The next team to show their interest in Rigg is Graham Potter’s West Ham, who currently sit in the lower echelons of the Premier League table.
Per Alan Nixon on Patreon, Sunderland have set their valuation at £20million for Rigg, however West Ham see him more in the £10million region.
There is one caveat, Nixon explains, that not only could detract West Ham interest, but all top flight sides, and that is Rigg’s desire to reach the Premier League with Sunderland, and the Black Cats youngster would want to stay on Wearside if his side do succeed with that.

Chris Rigg has made Black Cats future clear with ambitions
One thing that can give Sunderland fans a sigh of relief is the fact that Rigg’s priorities ultimately lie within Wearside, and his dedication to the club knows no bounds.
The 17-year-old has a clear ambition to get Sunderland into the Premier League, something that he is putting ahead of a quick and easy move up to the top flight by moving clubs.
To have that determination but also such selfless priorities in serving the club that nurtured you is a rarity these days, and is something that is often thrown out of the window once a top Premier League side comes calling.
If Sunderland are unable to achieve promotion, then Rigg’s future may be up in the air, but it is brilliant to see the yopungster fully focused and determined on his job of getting his side back to where they belong.
