One Sunderland striker has been linked with a European move in the January transfer window.
There is a likelihood that several departures will be sanctioned from the Stadium of Light in the January transfer window.
Whilst it seems as though Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris has changed his mind on certain players, including Adil Aouchiche, who looks now set to stay, as well as full-back Leo Hjelde, who impressed in the FA Cup against Stoke City, there will still be some players that are likely to move on.
As seen by the fact that Sunderland are looking to bolster their attacking front, with both Ben Brereton Diaz and Tom Cannon linked with a move to Wearside, it looks likely that Ukrainian attacker Nazariy Rusyn, who is clearly quite far back in the pecking order, could be moved on as a result.

Sunderland attacker Nazariy Rusyn linked with Ukrainian move in January
Black Cats attacker Rusyn has only been utilised for a total of 66 minutes in the Championship, and has been named as an unused substitute on 17 occasions in the league under Le Bris.
Despite being utilised for 15 minutes in the recent FA Cup game against Stoke City, it is expected that the 26-year-old centre-forward will move on this January, with him reportedly linked with a move to Ukrainian side LNZ Cherkasy, per TaToTake.
The manager of the Ukrainian side is Roman Hryhorchuk previously coached Rusyn at Chornomorets back in 2022 and is willing to sign the Sunderland striker on what could be a loan deal.

Ukrainian spell could see Nazariy Rusyn regain goalscoring touch
Ever since Rusyn joined Sunderland, there is no doubt that he has struggled in front of goal at Championship level.
The attacker has managed just two goals in the Championship since his arrival in the 2023/24 season, a stark contrast from his abilities shown whilst in Ukraine, bagging 13 goals in 30 games in the 2022/23 campaign.
As a result, a spell back in Ukraine could be exactly what the attacker needs to rejuvenate his goalscoring touch, and if he can get back to form, it could help him improve and offer more to Sunderland from the 2025/26 season onwards.
