Sunderland have made a ‘final’ bid for Nazariy Rusyn.
According to Zorya Londonsk, the Black Cats have made a fresh offer of between €2-3 million (£1.7-£2.6m) for the striker after already having a bid turned down this summer.
Rusyn joined Zorya Luhansk from Dynamo Kyiv last summer after previously impressing on loan three years earlier. The 24-year-old went onto score 13 goals and provide five assists in the Ukrainian Premier League last season.

Rusyn’s brilliant form in his home country has caught the eye of Sunderland, while it was reported that they weren’t the only Championship club interested in signing the forward.
Sunderland are desperate to bring in a new striker as they opened their campaign with Luis Hemir Semedo as their only option up top and they appear to see Rusyn as the ideal forward to bring in.
While it is unclear whether Zorya Luhansk will accept Sunderland’s bid, they could also be tempted by the reported 20% sell-on clause that the English club have included.

Tony Mowbray will be hoping the club can land Rusyn over the next week or so, with the team clearly struggling in the top half of the pitch. The Ukrainian has recently followed Sunderland on Instagram, which could prove to be a good sign for the Mackems.
Rusyn was dropped from Muzhyky’s matchday squad for their 2-1 win over Vorskla at the weekend, suggesting he could well be on his way out. The forward is likely to fit straight into Sunderland’s front three, though they could still sign a second attacker in Eliezer Mayenda’s absence.
