Lynden Gooch could join Queens Park Rangers this summer.
That’s according to Alan Nixon, who has reported that the Championship club remain interested in signing the Sunderland man.
Gooch has spent the last eleven years on Wearside since arriving from California and is closing in on his 250th appearance for the club.
However, with only one game left before transfer deadline day, the versatile full-back may well miss out on the milestone if he secures a move away.

Gooch has one year remaining on his contract at the Stadium of Light and has reportedly already been told his deal won’t be extended, while he has also found himself falling down the pecking order this season.
Despite making 32 appearances in the Championship last time out, Gooch is unlikely to feature very regularly in the new campaign and could look to find a new club in search of regular first team football.
The American has already been linked with a reunion with Alex Neil at Stoke City, however it is now QPR that are said to be looking at snapping him up.
QPR could look to sign both Lynden Gooch and Danny Batth
Nixon has claimed that the London outfit will only try to sign Gooch ‘if the deal is right’, though it is unclear how much Sunderland would demand for the 27-year-old.
Gooch isn’t the only Sunderland player that QPR are after either, with Gareth Ainsworth’s side also eager to bring Danny Batth in.

Nixon has previously claimed that QPR are pushing to complete a deal for the veteran defender, who looks extremely likely to leave Wearside over the next couple of weeks.
The pair would be tasked with keeping QPR in the Championship if they were to move south, with the Hoops finishing six points above the relegation zone last season.
