Sunderland could face bids for two of their key players in the summer transfer window.

The next few months are vital for Sunderland, who are desperate to reach the Championship play-offs for the second year in a row.

Their place in the Premier League is not all that is at stake though, with the future of a number of their star men in doubt if they fail to win promotion.

Jack Clarke is one player who has already been heavily linked with a switch to the top flight, while he was also subject to a £15 million bid from Lazio towards the end of the January window.

The Black Cats managed to keep hold of the winger, though fans expect him to leave for the Premier League this summer.

Despite Clarke seemingly being destined for the English top flight, reports have claimed that Lazio will go back in for him at the end of the season.

Not just Clarke either – Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness) have reported that Lazio are preparing a double swoop for both the attacker and his teammate, Jobe Bellingham.

Jobe netted his fifth goal of the campaign at the weekend, having already been the subject of interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea.

The midfielder has been a regular for the Championship club this term and clearly has very high potential, while he is one of a number of players that Kristjaan Speakman will struggle to keep hold of.

Both still have years left on their contract at the Stadium of Light, so Lazio would have to cough up a lot of cash to land both of them.

Can Sunderland keep hold of both Jobe and Clarke?

Clarke will likely have a number of options of where he could end up next season, but you would assume his ideal destination is the Premier League, after failing to make his breakthrough at Tottenham.

Jobe could perhaps be more tempted by a move to Italy though, given the success his brother Jude found from going abroad.

Jude has spent the last three-and-a-half years with Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid and clearly sees the European leagues as the best place to develop as a player.

While Jobe will probably also have the Premier League as a potential option, Sunderland may find keeping him from moving to Serie A as more of a challenge.
