There’s a lot going on at Sunderland in terms of transfers. Even well before the summer transfer window actually opens, it looks like there’s a queue of clubs ready to snap up their best young talents.

Sunderland arguably boast the most exciting squad in the entire Football League. Full of youth and full of quality, there’s an argument that Sunderland’s squad is worth over £100million right now. But that’ll inevitably attract top flight interest.

Whether it be from England or abroad, Sunderland have had to entertain a lot of transfer interest in their star players so far in 2024/25 and ahead of the summer, it’s looking like they’ll face a real battle to keep hold of a lot of names.

The likes of Jobe Bellingham and Chris Rigg may be nailed on to leave Sunderland whether the club is promoted or not. But there’s a number of others too, like Trai Hume, Dennis Cirkin, Dan Neil and more who’ve all had suitors this season.

Transfer updates on Chris Rigg, Jobe Bellingham, and Dan Neil at Sunderland

Writing for talkSPORT, journalist Alex Crook has discussed the latest at the Stadium of Light. He’s revealed that ‘Sunderland face a mass summer exodus if they fail to win a place in the Premier League’ with Bellingham, Rigg, and Neil all attracting interest right now, confirming a few recently emerging transfer rumours.

Crook confirmed that Everton and West Ham are interested in signing Rigg this summer and that Roma are tracking Sunderland captain Neil ahead of the summer, which is a rumour that took many by surprise when it emerged a week ago.

Also, Crook states that Bellingham ‘is firmly on Crystal Palace’s radar’ right now, not mentioning any others teams, and possibly suggesting that Palace are the current front-runners to sign Bellingham in the upcoming summer transfer window.

What are Chris Rigg, Jobe Bellingham, and Dan Neil’s transfer values at Sunderland?

Of that £100million that Sunderland might have lying in their squad in unsold talents, at least half of that could come from the aforementioned Rigg, Bellingham, and Neil, with the first two in particular looking like valuable assets.

Sunderland fans think Rigg and Bellingham are worth at least £30million each. Though so often do reports come out about Sunderland valuing their players around the £20million mark and this is the case for both Rigg and Bellingham too.

As for Neil, it seems highly likely that he’d go for significantly less than £20million if he were to be move don this summer, before signing a new contract.

Neil is out of contract in the summer of 2026 and although Sunderland have held contract talks with Neil, there’s certainly an air of uncertainty around his future, and given what’s been some mixed form for the Sunderland skipper recently, £15million for his services would be a very good sale indeed.
