Sunderland travel to Huddersfield Town in the Championship tonight.
Sunderland make the trip into Yorkshire to face relegation-threatened Huddersfield Town in the Championship this evening, with the Black Cats looking to go four games unbeaten.
Michael Beale‘s side have won their last two home games by 3-1 scorelines, with a draw away at Middlesbrough in between.
Last time out, Sunderland beat Plymouth Argyle 3-1 at the Stadium of Light, whilst Huddersfield Town gave away a 2-0 lead at Southampton to eventually lose 5-3.
Sunderland sit in 9th place of the Championship table ahead of tonight’s game, with a win able to lift them up into 6th.
Latest Sunderland team news
As ever, Sunderland have a fairly lengthy injury list, though no huge injury concerns for Beale at the moment.
Elliot Embleton recently suffered another setback as he vies to return from a torn thigh muscle, whilst Corry Evans has made a return to training, though remains sidelined.
Callum Styles appears to be 50/50 to make tonight’s squad, whilst Aji Alese, Bradley Dack, and Niall Huggins remain longer-term absentees.

How will Michael Beale line up against Huddersfield Town?
Beale suggested ahead of tonight that he might make some changes for tonight’s game and the weekend clash away at Tony Mowbray’s Birmingham City.
Though how many changes, if many at all, Beale makes for tonight’s remains to be seen, with the Sunderland XI looking rather settled right now.
The back-four looks unlikely to change and Leo Hjelde looks set to keep his place on the left after a steady start to life on Wearside.
Beale though could push Abdoullah Ba back out to the right where he seems more effective, then bringing a rested Jobe Bellingham back into the XI at the expense of the 27-year-old Patrick Roberts.
Expect Nazariy Rusyn to keep his spot up top.
