Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris will be eagerly anticipating how one layer will fare in the upcoming Burnley test.
The Black Cats will face off against Burnley this evening for an 8pm kick-off, in what will be a six-pointer in the grand scheme of the Championship promotion battle.
Sunderland will have to be on top form against the best defensive side in the second-tier, and it will no doubt prove to be a huge test for the Black Cats frontline.
Wilson Isidor and Eliezer Mayenda will be expected to once again be utilised as a front-two, and whilst they have returned to form in some fashion in recent weeks, getting past Scott Parker’s Burnley defence will be their biggest challenge yet.
As well as the striker pairing, there is another playing that Regis Le Bris will be bookmarking that will have the opportunity to truly cement his place in the first-team, that is if he can thrive against one of Burnley’s top performers.

Regis Le Bris will be monitoring Adil Aouchiche performance for Sunderland vs Burnley
French youngster Adil Aouchiche has been flung into the first-team recently on the left flank, a position that it was initially presumed that he wouldn’t be able to thrive at.
Nonetheless, he has shown great ability in his three previous league starts, despite not being able to notch a goal or assist.
Aouchiche’s dribbling has especially been sublime since his inclusion into the side, and has filled the void left by Romaine Mundle and Tommy Watson impeccably.
However, the upcoming Burnley test will be one-of-a-kind for Aouchiche, coming up against one of the top right-back’s in the Championship, Connor Roberts.

Connor Roberts test will be true judge of Adil Aouchiche ability
Burnley full-back Roberts has been one of their many consistent players this season, helping Parker’s side to 13 clean sheets.
However, Roberts’ true abilities lie within his stats, where, per SofaScore, it states that he has been dribbled past on an average of 0.1 times per game.
As a result, it certainly shows that it will be a challenge for Aouchiche coming up against such a strong defender, especially when the Frenchman’s talents lie with dribbling past the opposition full-back.
With Aouchiche set to play up against the Burnley full-back, it will be his biggest challenge yet on the wing for Sunderland, but a positive performance will certainly be a sign towards him truly cementing his spot in the side.
