Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has offered his score prediction for the Championship game between Sunderland and QPR.
Sunderland host QPR in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Mike Dodds‘ side have lost their last six in the league; the first time they’ve lost six in a row since 2006.
It comes after Sunderland sacked Michael Beale last month following defeats against Huddersfield Town and Birmingham City.
Dodds has lost all four of his games in temporary charge, whilst QPR have lost just one of their last five, pulling themselves out of the drop zone in the process.
David Prutton predicts 2-1 win for QPR at Sunderland
Writing his predictions for this weekend, Sky Sports pundit David Prutton predicted a 2-1 win for QPR at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, writing:
“Six defeats on the bounce now for Sunderland. It is troubling times, and Mike Dodds needs to find a way to turn things around before they fall any further.
“QPR were beaten at home by Middlesbrough last time out, but need to rally because they are still in the thick of a relegation battle and this is a very winnable fixture – which I think they’ll take three points from.”
Sunderland v QPR H2H
Sunderland have a good recent record vs the West Londoners, winning their last two outings against them; the last was a 3-1 win at Loftus Road back in September.
In fact, the Black Cats have only lost one of their last seven against QPR, but they’ve not beaten the R’s on home turf since 2012.
Sunderland’s last three wins against QPR have come on the road, with their previous four meetings at the Stadium of Light ending in draws.
The last time Sunderland won at home vs QPR was in 2012, with Niklas Bendtner, James McClean, and Stephane Sessegnon on the scoresheet in a 3-1 Premier League win.

Mike Dodds desperately needs a win vs QPR
Dodds can’t take much of the blame at all for how poorly Sunderland are performing.
But with each passing defeat, more and more eyes are starting to turn towards the 37-year-old.
His team selections and shapes have been surprising in some games, though in other games, Sunderland have looked decent, albeit lacking an end product.
With Jack Clarke injured and the likes of Luis Hemir out of form, Sunderland are finding it difficult to score goals right now, and Prutton’s prediction of a 2-1 QPR win may well come true.
The R’s are in good form and looking to further push themselves away from the bottom three; at the same time drag teams like Sunderland in the mid-table pack, into the bottom half of the table.
Sunderland could finish the weekend just six points above the drop zone depending on other results, so it’s certainly a huge game for the Black Cats this on Saturday.
