Sunderland hero brand ‘snake’
A few years back, Sunderland were in a bad place. Stuck in League One, the club continuously failed to get out of the English third tier.
This was until Alex Neil. The manager came into the club and gained promotion back into the Championship via the playoffs. However, his stay at the Stadium of Light did not last long as he moved to Stoke at the start of the next season.
In recent weeks, Neil has been linked to a return to Sunderland. However, many people do not want to see this. Journalist Michael Graham branded the former manager as a ‘snake’.

Sunderland urged to go in for former Premier League

Plenty of managers have been linked to Sunderland since the sacking of Michael Beale. Will Still has been the most prominent name so far with Steve Cooper also on the fan’s wishlist.
However, one man who Sunderland have now been urged to bring in is Paul Heckingbottom. Last season, he guided Sheffield United to the Premier League despite the restrictions he was under. Pundit Carlton Palmer has suggested that Sunderland should be eyeing him up.
