Tony Mowbray will be filled with delight to see that three Sunderland players return to training from injury.
Sunderland have had quite a few injury blows early this season however they could be about to subside.
The Black Cats are due to have a trio of players return to action, and have been spotted in training.
The three are all players who are on the younger side, Eliezer Mayenda, Adil Aouchiche and Aji Alese.
The trio could be seen in a training clip released on the club’s official X account.
What has Mowbray said about the three players
Aouchiche has missed the previous two games but has now returned to training, last week, Mowbray had said he was expecting the midfielder to return soon: “Adil, the medical report tells me it’s one to two weeks so that’s not going to be a long problem.”
Aouchciche is a player many are excited about and is one we fully expect to be a top player here.
On Mayenda, following the Norwich win Mowbray had said: “I think he probably could have been on the bench but if he’s telling the medical department he’s feeling his hamstring a little bit, even though he finished the whole training session yesterday, I made the call.”

Alese is the final one nearing a return and has been pictured back in training. He hasn’t played for Sunderland this season yet and is expected to be set for under-21 action before any first-team football.
The returns are coming at a welcome time for Mowbray given the piling up of fixtures which will become obvious in the coming weeks.
It also allows the boss some options in areas in which he hasn’t had that luxury this season so far.
With the playoff charge heating up, Mowbray needs all the backup and support he can get.
